Cockett Group is gearing up for the Middle East Bunkering Convention (MEBC) 2024, taking place next week between 5-7 February 2024, hosted by Petrospot Limited.
The theme for this year’s event will be ‘No turning back: Adapting to commercial and regulatory changes’. Now in its ninth year, MEBC offers the opportunity for expert commentary and informed discussions about the issues and challenges impacting the global marine fuel sector and, as always, to provide a detailed focus on the evolving Middle East bunker market.
MEBC will examine the business prospects of the industry from the perspective of early 2024, taking into account the ongoing Ukraine issue and a challenging and intricate sanctions environment. The conference's speakers will address whether or not all businesses involved in the marine fuels value chain already have to follow stricter due diligence procedures and counterparty risk assessments, or if more needs to be done. Group CEO, Cem Saral, will be delivering the keynote speech for the event on Tuesday 6 February.
Cockett Group’s contribution will not end there, as alongside being Gold Sponsors for the event, Colin Holloway, Group Head – Technical, will be a speak during session three: Regional focus: the outlook for shipping, bunker supply and ports, also on Tuesday 6 February.
We will also have various other members of our team in attendance, so keep an eye out for Cockett Group’s delegation.
