On Tuesday 7 February, Cockett Group celebrated an incredible milestone. The Dubai office joined with Chris Fletcher to celebrate his 40th anniversary with the Group, having joined back in 1983.

Taking in the sights of Paros in the Taj Hotel, the festivities included speeches from Cem Saral and Chris himself, heartfelt messages from our stakeholders, a bespoke card, balloons, gifts, and of course – lots of cake.

Cem Saral, Group CEO stated, “I think we all have a lot to learn from him, his enthusiasm and attention to detail are the same from when I first spoke with him back in 1997. I have huge gratitude for his presence and leadership in Cockett.”

Chris himself, always renowned for being a strong conversationist, kept his speech short and sweet, underpinned by the line, “If you’re surrounded by a good bunch of people, you stick with it. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” And clearly, he has lived by this principle.
